As part of its humanitarian mission to support affected communities and strengthen social resilience, Noor International Relief Association has launched a mosque construction project in Northern Gaza. This initiative responds to the urgent need for safe and adequately equipped religious facilities serving local residents.
Northern Gaza has experienced extensive damage to infrastructure and community facilities, including several mosques that were either destroyed or partially damaged. This project forms part of a broader recovery plan aimed at restoring essential community structures that play a central role in social and spiritual life.
A mosque is not only a place of worship; it functions as a community hub for education, guidance, social engagement, and the promotion of social cohesion.
Provide a safe and properly equipped place of worship for the local population.
Restore the mosque’s social role as a center for education, Qur’an memorization, and community activities.
Enhance psychological and social stability among affected families.
Contribute to early recovery efforts in Northern Gaza.
The project includes:
Construction of the mosque building in accordance with appropriate structural standards.
Equipping the prayer hall with carpeting, lighting, and ventilation systems.
Construction of sanitary facilities.
Allocation of space for Qur’anic education and community learning activities.
Installation of a suitable sound system to serve worshippers.
The mosque is expected to serve hundreds of families in the target area and contribute to:
Gradual restoration of normal community life.
Strengthening social bonds among residents.
Providing a safe environment for organized community gatherings.
Supporting educational and spiritual initiatives.
Noor International Relief Association remains committed to implementing its projects with transparency and efficiency, prioritizing the most urgent needs of communities in Gaza. This initiative represents an investment in people and in rebuilding the social fabric essential for long-term recovery and stability.
